Radio Frequency Skin Tightening
Radio Frequency (RF) Skin Tightening is a non-invasive treatment that uses controlled heat energy to stimulate collagen and elastin production deep within the skin.
By gently warming the tissue, RF helps lift, firm and smooth areas that have started to lose elasticity, giving the skin a tighter, more youthful appearance over time. It’s a comfortable treatment with no downtime, making it a popular choice for clients who want visible rejuvenation without needles or surgery.
Section Title
What is RF Skin Tightening?
Radio Frequency (RF) Skin Tightening uses controlled heat to gently warm the dermis. This is the deeper layer of your skin where collagen lives. When this tissue reaches around 40–42°C the existing collagen fibres contract giving an immediate tightening effect. This heat also activates the fibroblast cells responsible for producing new collagen which is why results continue to improve over the following weeks.
It’s very much a “trust the process” treatment: you may notice a firmer feel straight after your session but the real transformation happens gradually as fresh collagen rebuilds leaving the skin smoother, tighter and naturally more lifted long after your treatment course is complete.

How Long until I see results?
Results may happen straight away but this treatment carries on seeing results after you have completed a course of sessions.

Collagen and elastin sit deep in your skin so results develop gradually. Your body needs time to produce them. That’s why multiple sessions give the best, long-lasting effect.

RF (Radio Frequency) uses gentle heat energy to stimulate your skin at a deeper level. This heat:
-
Contracts existing collagen fibers, giving your skin an immediate tightening effect.
-
Activates fibroblasts to produce new collagen and elastin over time, improving firmness, elasticity, and overall skin structure.
-
Boosts circulation and oxygen delivery to skin cells, supporting hydration, repair, and a healthy, radiant glow.

Before Care:
To get the best results and avoid irritation:
-
Avoid sun exposure for at least 48 hours before treatment.
-
Skip retinols, acids, or harsh exfoliants for 3–5 days prior on the face and neck for face and neck treatments.
-
Avoid blood-thinning medications/supplements (unless prescribed) for 24–48 hours before. Please inform me if you are on blood thinners
-
Stay hydrated – well-hydrated skin responds better to treatment.
-
Remove all makeup, creams, and oils before your appointment. I can also do this if you dont have time.
-
Inform your therapist if you have metal implants, a pacemaker, or any skin conditions in the treatment area.

After Care:
To protect your skin and enhance results:
-
Avoid direct sun exposure and always wear SPF 50+
-
Skip hot showers, saunas, or steam rooms for 24–48 hours. This allows the heat in the body from the treatment to calm down first.
-
Do not use retinols, acids, or exfoliating products for 3–5 days after.
-
Keep skin hydrated with a gentle, nourishing moisturiser. Hyaluronic acid is okay too.
-
Avoid intense exercise or sweating for 24 hours. Again we don't want to put extra heat in the area after treatment.
-
No other facial/Laser/body treatments on the same area for at least 1 week unless advised.
-
Results build over time – collagen production continues for several weeks after treatment.
